I’m totally shocked this whiskey went from off-putting to adored!

NOSE: The fog lifts. Wow - simply wow; I linger nosing and nosing and nosing this wonderful dram whereas weeks ago it unpleasantly burned my nose — the nasties evaporated! Dark fruits, plum, cherries and raisins. That familiar maltiness that is their signature Diamond Peak — my favorite Colorado Single Malt!

PALETTE : The fog is gone. A delicious American take on single malt. Caramel, vanilla and leather as with Diamond Peak. Definite sherry cask impact finished with plums, cherries and raisins complemented with a nuttiness and brown sugar sweetness.

FINISH: The leather builds pleasantly. Interesting is that is the closest whiskey to Kavalan Solist that I’ve had and their aging environments differ completely.

CONCLUSION: I’m totally shocked this whiskey went from off-putting to adored. Whatever the cause it has made me adore my Cradle Glass more! I definitely will acquire more bottles as soon as my wife says I don’t have too many.
